About
Fall Ritual
What is there to say
that has not already been said? No
matter where you live or what your political affiliation, the season
of darkness began on September 11th.
What is there to learn
from this darkness? What jewels
can we possibly mine from this tragedy?
Where is the path through this without increasing global pain?
I find myself longing
for a global council of elders. A
council of wise beings, beings who have lived their lives admirably,
who possess moral and spiritual integrity, who can see beyond national
boundaries, who are above taking sides.
I find myself wishing for a group of people that we would all
trust, who we could turn to now, at times like these, to handle the
situation fairly, to restore balance.
If only the animals could tell us what to do. In the meantime, there
is nothing to do but take your life in both hands and live it. Gather your loved ones close and love them
fiercely. The future we work
for is still a long way off. Hold to your vision.
Now, more than ever, the earth needs people of vision. |
